Event Cancelled: It is with deep regret that we have to inform you that Rother and Wealden District Councils have decided not to uphold our licence to hold the Sussex Faerie Festival this year on 4th - 6th September. Having submitted all our paperwork in good time we expected the council to contact us with any queries within their stated 3 day window. Instead we were contacted less than a week before with a huge number of extra questions. With the event so close we simply are unable to return the level of information they are now requesting.

Having flown from Spain and isolated in the UK for the required two weeks, I can only say I am very surprised at this turn of events, but it is not possible to run the event without the licence. I do hope you will all understand that this situation has been taken out of our hands and would never been one we would have chosen, given the preparation and love that goes into the Faerie Festival every year.

I will very much miss seeing you all, and do hope you will wish to be part of Faerie Festival 2021.

Matthew x
